Valke Vleug Winery is celebrating its five-year anniversary with an exceptional series of gastronomic weekends. Under the name 5 Years Valke Vleug – A Summer of Culinary Icons, the winery will welcome a stellar lineup of renowned chefs from Belgium and beyond for a series of exclusive four-hands collaborations. Seven weekends of culinary excellence will make this summer truly one of a kind.

 

Roger Souvereyns and his protégés

At the age of 86, legendary Belgian chef Roger Souvereyns (Gault&Millau, 19,5/20 Scholteshof)), a true icon of gastronomy, returns to the kitchen for one final public appearance. Known worldwide for his pioneering spirit and his iconic restaurant-hotel Scholteshof in Stevoort, he reunites with some of his most talented former students for a rare series of four-hands dinners. Among them: Jacob Jan Boerma (Gault&Millau 16/20 with Fine Fleur), Jo Bussels (Gault&Millau 14/20), and Johan Schroven (Gault&Millau 15/20). 

 



The best Italian fine dining in the Benelux

The Antwerp-based restaurant Materia, Gault&Millau 14/20, ranked #37 in The 50 Best Italian Restaurants in the World, welcomes Italian culinary icons such as Giovanni Bruno of Senzanome in Brussels (Gault&Millau 16/20, #14) and Pasquale Carfora of Aroma in the Netherlands (Gault&Millau 14/20, #43). Together, they will present exceptional quattro mani menus, complemented by a surprising fusion of fine dining and Neapolitan street food by pizza chef Luca Fabozzi.

 

Celebrate at HarFest

The summer will conclude in festive fashion on Sunday, September 21, with HarFest, Valke Vleug’s annual harvest celebration. During this unique lunch overlooking the vineyard, Roger Souvereyns and Materia will join forces in the kitchen for the very first and only time.
